Dadeland Mall
Hey Everybody, I was super busy over the summer: I had to go to meetings at different malls to decide which was the best to launch my store. I chose Dadeland Mall in Miami. Not that it sounds like Disneyland... the best place on earth... but it does make me think of lots of fun! I had super duper fun this summer but now that school is back in session I am all business again! I hope you stop by my store in Dadeland to check out my latest collection of Fingerlings! We have a variety of packages available to make sure you get the best deal and can wear Fingerlings EVERYDAY! Gotta go now.. lots to do. I'll TyC-Ya Later! ;)

Made in America
The other day I got a new toy for getting a good report card! I can't believe it broke already! After all of the hard work I put in to get good marks and my reward lasts only a few days! It's not cool that toys break so easy these days! My mom showed me some of the toys that she had saved from when she was a kid & I couldn't believe that they were not broken after so long. What is wrong with toy companies these days? I think it is very mean for these companies to give kids cheap toys that break & charge our parents lots of money. Expecially when toys are often for gifts or for getting a good report card! In my business, Fingerlings Inc. I just won't allow our Fingerlings to be made cheap! No way! Shouldn't things be made strong like the Hulk?! Shouldn't busyiness people care about the toys they put in the stores? I care about the toys I buy, I care about my friends toys when I borrow them- shouldn't the people who sell them to us care too? I am gonna make sure we run our business like they did in the older days- when the flag was being sewn together and the four fathers built up the country with tall skyscrapers like in New York! That is why I asked Mommy to help start our business! I want kids to have a good product & I want to make sure quality is the main goal instead of trying to get the cheapest labor. It is mean to ask people to work for low pay so it's no wonder those people would make the toys bad... they were probably mad at the business man! In this economy when Mommies & Daddies have alot of stress about buying toys and us kids can't afford as many toys as before quality is super important. That's why we make our Fingerlings in the USA! That way we can help keep people working and then kids can have more toys! It's just what I think is fair & if I am just a kid and I can see this than I bet many people also see how important this is! Well, thanks for listening about my this whole toy problem! TyC-ya Later!

Great News!
This is just the best news yet everyone! Today we arranged for Fingerlings, Inc. to be a sponsor for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or JDRF for short! My friend, Courtney, who is just a young girl like me was just diagnosed with Type I diabetes last year! Everyone was very sad for Courtney because she has to undergo testing and will have to struggle with Diabetes her entire long life & she is just a kid! So, today was the best day I could imagine because now we have a chance to help kids like Courtney get better! The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is a great organization that does many good things for people! Maybe one day they will find a cure for Courtney and all the kids with diabetes! Please visit our site to purchase the custom JDRF Fingerlings we are making! We are donating $3.00 per Fingerling to the JDRF! I know that I can trust all of you to help me, help these kids! Thanks guys & I will TyC-ya later!

Big Fish
Today there was a very big fish swimming right up to the shore! At first we thought it was a shark- but then we noticed it was a nice fish and it wanted to play with us. The fish let us follow him and kept circling back around to say hi. I love the beach... isn't it cool how people like to go to the beach?! Today we wondered if dinosaurs liked to go to the beach- I wonder! My favorite is the story of Fingerlings- ya know- teenage fish that are born way up stream and far from the ocean. Their parents swim against the current to return to where they were born every year to lay their eggs. Isn't it amazing how far they have to travel just to make it to the ocean! It's very inspiring- to see such a big fish in the ocean because I know that he was once a small guy- like me and to see that he made it so far- it makes me feel like I can go far too! When I reach up and jump for the stars maybe our generation can touch them. It's certainly worth a try... that's what Fingerlings are-- they are little guys who make it the big world! I want to be a big fish like I saw at the beach today... and I will still like the beach when I am! I mean- if dinosaurs love the beach then I guess it's a hobbie that you just can't out grow! Lol! Hope you had a great weekend... Now it's back to work on Monday! TyC-ya later everyone!

Show and tell
I felt my heart bouncing inside of my chest today.... I think it made up a song to dance too... beat...beat...bopbop....beat..... whoa what a crazy day! Finally it was the day that to show everyone Fingerlings. I had to wait 2 years to show them to anyone: even my friends. I had told some people that I was working on something really cool but like my favorite spy- James Bond- it was a secret mission that no one could know about or… dun dun dun…… big trouble! LOL! That’s at least what I was thinking about during all those discussions my parents had with me teaching me about patents and trademarks… I mean for a kid it’s pretty dry stuff wayyyy over our heads… (Yes, I was caught a couple times peaking at the TV whenever they mention this stuff) I got the point though, with 4 parents – two who went to lawyer school…. I didn’t spill the beans! YEA!
That’s why my heart was beating so fast because I was super excited to FINALLY show my friends! My teacher let me make a presentation in school which I started out by reading a line from a letter my Mommy wrote to me about Fingerlings. It read, ”These fingerlings are for you to wear and show everyone, get ‘em dirty, play with ‘em, whatever little boys do- enjoy them!”
My friends were very excited and these guys aren’t just regular kids. My classmates are really the coolest kids, we always have so much fun together and they are super smart too so I knew they would love to know all about Fingerlings . I told them about the patent application and how it stops people from stealing your ideas and I showed them the logo that we trademarked. They were very excited! They liked that they could read my initials in the logo and how it made a smiley face… it’s sort of like a puzzle: that’s why I love it!
I explained to them that Fingerlings are Fashion 4 fingers, made from fabric like our clothes! What adults don’t understand is that we have really always wanted something cool to wear. For crying out loud we are wearing rubber bands (silly bandz…so cool- I have tons) as bracelets! I mean hello… what options do we have? Adults with their fancy jewelry… that doesn’t work for us! We lose things easily and we grow so fast- adults don’t want to buy us expensive gold jewelry and if they do… um where did it go? Uh ohhh! So all we were left with was cheap metal jewelry that turns our fingers green! It’s awful! I once bought my Mom a ring from the school Santa which I knew she was going to love and what happened? Not even a week later it turned green, it turned her finger green and the pretty stone fell out! No one wants to have their gift turn a finger green! Worse, imagine if this was a gift for my valentine? I would be the laughing stock- instead I came up with a solution to this problem! Fingerlings- Fashion 4 Fingers, made from the most exotic fabrics in the world and they surely won’t turn your finger green! So the time had come to reveal this secret treasure to everyone…
I gave them the bags I had made up for them, they ripped them open to get the Fingerlings inside. They loved them!!! Everyone was playing with them and said they were very cool…. Everyone wanted to know where to get more- so I showed them the business cards and the address for my online store tycfingerlings.com. Kids from another class hurried over to see the Fingerlings. Everyone wanted one, it was a frenzy! I even ran out of business cards! Turns out everyone else thinks Fingerlings are super cool too- which means a lot because I spent the last 2 years working on them! I even design them so guys can wear them too, like with flames on them: I call it the Hot Rod! Metal jewelry is too sparkly & shiny for guys most of the time! Fingerlings are a real option for everyone- even adults like them because the fabric is so exotic… we even have crocodile ones! My teacher even took some home to wear! ;)
This wouldn’t exactly be the first time a kid had to tell the adults what was cool!! Lol!!! The day was great! Fingerlings were a hit, everyone had a blast and I finally got to share them with everyone. Now, the question I have is how do I share them with everyone in the world? I want everyone to know that I found a cure for green finger! I am going to try very hard but I am a small man in a big mans world, so… I can only promise I will do my best! I have to go now because I have a lot of work to do. I will talk to you again real soon! TyC-ya later!
